Malanda made his professional debut with Nîmes.

On 4 August 2022, Malanda signed with Major League Soccer side Charlotte FC.^[1]

On 20 August 2025, Malanda signed for EFL Championship club Middlesbrough for an undisclosed fee and was loaned back to Charlotte until the end of the MLS season.^[2][3]
