History

Todd Moscowitz was the President of Def Jam Music Publishing, President of Def Jam Interactive Gaming, and a member of the Board of Directors of Phat Farm Inc. From 1996 to 2000, Moscowitz served as the SVP of Business Affairs for Def Jam Recordings.[2][3] From 2005 to 2010, Moscowitz served as the president of Asylum Records.[4] From 2010 to 2012, Moscowitz served as the co-president and CEO of Warner Records.[5] In 2012, Moscowitz co-founded the American hip-hop record label, 300 Entertainment, alongside Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles, and Roger Gold.[6] In the fall of 2016, Moscowitz stepped down from 300 Entertainment.[7]

Following his departure from 300 Entertainment, Moscowitz founded Cold Heat Records, now, Alamo Records, under a joint venture with Universal Music Group and Interscope Records.[8] The record label's name was later changed to Alamo Records before partnering with Geffen Records in 2020.[9] Just a year later, a majority stake of Alamo was sold to Sony Music.[10]
