Alan Chikin Chow (born November 15, 1998) is an American actor, digital creator, producer, writer, and influencer.[1][2][3] He is the highest-ranking YouTube shorts creator with over 91 million subscribers and the creator of the YouTube series Alan's Universe.[4][5][6][7] As of May 2025, he has the 17th most subscribed channel on YouTube. Chow's channel ranks in the top 50 most-subscribed YouTube channels and most viewed YouTube channels in the world. Chow has appeared in TV series and films that include Grey's Anatomy, Mean Girls, I Didn't Do It, and Into the Dark.[8][9]

Early life Alan
Alan earned his Bachelors Degree from USC studying screenwriting and business administration.[10] His career in content creation also started during his time at the USC as a way to make his family laugh.[10]
Alan's brother, Alvan Chow, is an investor and a cast-member of the Netflix documentary "Eat the Rich".

Chow began his career as a model for JC Penney and began to book roles on Disney Channel TV series including I Didn't Do It, Grey's Anatomy, and Hulu's Into the Dark.[8] He was also a voice actor for the popular anime series One Piece.[8]
Chow began uploading videos, and his YouTube channel gained popularity, which made him the most-watched YouTube Shorts creator.[8][9] Chow's channel charted as the most-viewed YouTube channel in the United States on multiple occasions.[11][12]
Subsequently, Chow launched his drama series Alan's Universe, a high school drama series about love and friendships.[10][13] Alan's Universe has garnered over 250M views across episodes and has been featured on Good Morning America and CBS News.[10][14][15]
In 2024, his channel broke into the Top 50 most-subscribed YouTube channels globally. He is signed with the talent agency, CAA.[16] In November 2024, he opened up a 10,000 square foot production studio in Burbank, California.[17][18]
In 2025, he announced a joint venture with HYBE Corporation to create a pop group and streaming series. Alan serves as executive producer and label co-head for the new venture titled HYBE AMERICA x AU alongside CEO of HYBE America Scooter Braun and HYBE America President of Film & TV James Shin.[19][20] Additionally, it was announced Alan’s Universe will be available on Roku TV.[21][22]
