Karting

Abkhazava mostly competed in Rotax karting, and in 2019 he won his only European title in the Rotax Junior category, in the Rotax Max Challenge International Trophy.[4] This was followed by some consistent results in 2021 and 2022 as he stepped up to the Rotax Senior category.[5]

Formula 4

In early 2023, it was announced that Abkhazava would be stepping up to cars with R-ace GP in the 2023 Formula 4 UAE Championship.[6] He finished 28th in the drivers' standings, with a best result of 9th place at Kuwait Motor Town.[7] Abkhazava then moved over to Europe, and he would be competing in the 2023 F4 Spanish Championship with Drivex.[8] He subsequently finished 24th in the standings to cap off a disappointing year, with a best result of 10th.[9]

Formula Regional

2024

In January 2024, it was confirmed that Abkhazava would be contesting the full 2024 Formula Regional Middle East Championship season with Pinnacle Motorsport.[10] Abkhazava had a breakthrough season, finishing in 15th in the standings after a best result of 4th place in the first round at Yas Marina.[11] He ended up scoring 20 points over the course of the season.[12]

For his main campaign, Abkhazava drove for Saintéloc Racing during the full 2024 Eurocup-3 season.[3] On his debut, he finished 2nd in an eventful race at Spa-Francorchamps.[13] He secured his first victory in the championship in the third race of the third round at Algarve.[14] However, Abkhazava endured a tough second half of the season in the series, seeing him fall to an eventual ninth-placed finish in the championship standings.[15] Abkhazava then contested the 2024 Formula Regional World Cup, hosted at the Guia Circuit in Macau, where he finished 9th.[16]

2025

Abkhazava switched to MP Motorsport for the 2025 Eurocup-3 season, stating his goal to be to "vie for the championship".[17][18] He also competed with the team in the Eurocup-3 Spanish Winter Championship.[19] He is currently 14th in the standings with 19 points, his best finish being 4th in the first race at Portimão.
