Anar Rahim oglu Aliyev

Anar Rahim oglu Aliyev is an Azerbaijani politician who is serving as the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population of Azerbaijan since 2025 and was the Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population from 2018–2025.^[1]

Early life and education

Anar Rahim oglu Aliyev was born in 1980 in Baku. He graduated from Baku State University, Faculty of International Law with a bachelor's degree in 2000. He earned a master's degree in 2002 and obtained a Ph.D. in 2006.^[2]

Career

From 2000 to 2006, he worked as a court session secretary at the Local Economic Court No. 1. From 2006 to 2008, he served as the Chief Advisor in the Legal Department of the Ministry of Economy. From 2008 to 2018, he worked as the head of that department.^[2]

By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan dated February 3, 2016, he was a member of the Appellate Board of the President of Azerbaijan until 2018. In 2018, by the Minister's order, he was appointed Adviser to the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population – Head of the Ministry's Office. By the presidential decree dated October 30, 2018, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population. On February 7, 2025, he was appointed Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population.^[3]

Awards

• June 6, 2012 — By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan dated June 19, 2012, he was awarded the Medal for Distinction in Civil Service for his contributions to the development of the Azerbaijani economy.
