Anne Slavotinek (born 13 May 1963) is an Australian chess Woman International Master (1985), two-times Australian Women's Chess Championships winner (1982, 1984).

Chess career

Slavotinek competed many times in the individual finals of the Australian Women's Chess Championship and twice won this tournament: in 1982 and 1984. In 1981, in Baguio she participated in Women's World Chess Championship Asian Pacific Zonal tournament and ranked in 10th plce.[1] Together with the Australian team, she won the Telechess Olympiad in 1990.[2]

Slavotinek played for Australia in the Women's Chess Olympiads:[3]

In 1995, she was awarded the FIDE Women International Master (WIM) title.[citation needed]

Slavotinek is a medical doctor who specialises in medical genetics and physician science. She worked at University of California, San Francisco in the United States in medical genetics projects.[4]
