History

It was founded in 1982 by Jamal Suleiman founded in opposition to Fatah in Ain al-Hilweh with alliance with Hezbollah.^[1] In 2012 disassociated from Hezbollah.^[2] Its current leader is Sheikh Abu Ayoub in Ain al-Hilweh.^[3] The group is reconciled with Fatah in 2016.^[4]

Carried out the AMIA bombing against the Asociación Mutual Israelita Argentina and responsibility was declared through leaflets distributed in Sidon and a statement in the Lebanese newspaper An-Nahar^[2][5]
