Araden (Ancient Greek: Ἀραδήν) was a town and polis (city-state)^[1] of ancient Crete.^[2] Stephanus of Byzantium claims was Araden later name of, rather than a successor settlement to, Anopolis (Ἀνώπολις)^[3]

Its site is located near modern Aradena.^[2]^[4]
