Archana Jois

Archana Jois is an Indian actress who appears in Kannada films. Jois is known for her role as Shanthamma, Rocky's mother in K.G.F film series.^[2][3][4]

Apart from acting, she is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer.^[5]

Career

Archana Jois is one of the few Indian actresses to take up mother roles at a young age.^[6][7] She started her career with playing lead roles in television soaps Durga and Mahadevi.^[5] she played the second female lead in films such as Vijayaratha and the Marathi film Rajkumar.^[8][9]

She played one of the main leads in Hondisi Bareyiri (2023).^[10] She was then seen in the movie Mute.^{[11][12][13][14]} Her next films were Kshetrapthi (2023) and Ghost (2023), in which she played a news reporter.^[15][16] She will be seen essaying an important role in Ajay Rao starrer Yuudhakanda directed by Pavan Bhat.^[17] She played a journalist role in the yet-to-release Nakshe.^[18] She was a part of the film Kalankata, which is yet to release.^[19]
