The Assembly Executive and Review Committee is a standing committee of the Northern Ireland which was established under the St Andrews Agreement to conduct reviews of the "operational aspects" of the assembly and executive.[1][2]
The committee has written reports which led to the establishment of the Department of Justice and the reduction in the number of departments.[3][4]
Currently the committee is reviewing the veto that has enabled the assembly and executive to collapse.[5]
