The Assembly of Notables (Dutch: Vergadering van notabelen) was the constituent assembly of the Sovereign Principality of the United Netherlands. They met on 29 March 1814 in the New Church in Amsterdam. Sovereign Prince William I of the Netherlands had invited 600 notables for the assembly, 474 of whom showed up. Only 26 of those present voted against the new Constitution.[1]
