Avalan Rural District

Avalan Rural District (Persian: دهستان عوالان)^[3] is in Muchesh District of Kamyaran County, Kurdistan province, Iran.^[4] Its capital is the village of Noshur-e Sofla.^[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 3,628 in 918 households.^[6] There were 3,224 inhabitants in 905 households at the following census of 2011.^[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 2,401 in 753 households. The most populous of its 17 villages was Noshur-e Sofla, with 502 people.^[2]
