Ayden Mayeri (born October 1, 1990) is an Iranian-American actress, comedian, and writer, known for her work in both television and film. On television, she had a recurring role in Homecoming (2018) and starred in the Peacock comedy Mr. Throwback. Mayeri has appeared in the films Somebody I Used to Know (2023), Confess, Fletch (2022), I Love That for You (2022), Jackpot! (2024), and Honeyjoon (2025).

Early life
Ayden Mayeri was born on October 1, 1990, in Oakland, California. She studied dramatic theater at California State University, Fullerton.[1] In 2000, at age 11, Mayeri formed the amateur preteen pop group X-Cetra in Santa Rosa, California, with friends Jessica Hall and siblings Janet and Mary Washburn. Their first and only album, Stardust, later gained a cult following after circulating online.[2]

Career
Television
Mayeri began her acting career in the early 2010s with minor roles in television shows. Her breakout came with appearances in TV series Harder Than It Looks.[3] She guest-starred in the Fox sitcom New Girl. Around the same time, she joined the cast of the Apple TV+ murder-mystery comedy The Afterparty, playing a pregnant mean girl who goes missing.[4]
In 2019, Mayeri appeared in multiple episodes of the political satire Veep on HBO, She also made guest appearances on Larry David's iconic show Curb Your Enthusiasm. In 2024, Mayeri was a main cast member on the Peacock comedy series Mr. Throwback.[5][6]

Mayeri appeared in the films Home Again (2017), Spin Me Round (2022),[7][8] Confess, Fletch (2022),[9] Cora Bora (2023),[10] Grown Ups (2010), Random Tropical Paradise (2017), Into the Dark: Midnight Kiss (2019), Alex Strangelove (2018), Before You Know It (2019), Concerning the Bodyguard (2015), and We Are Your Friends (2015).
In August 2024, Mayeri was cast in the Amazon MGM Studios 2024 film Jackpot!.[11]

In addition to her work on screen, Mayeri is also a writer and has contributed to various comedy sketches and digital content.[4]
Personal life
Mayeri married screenwriter and producer M. Miller Davis in 2018.[4] She is a fan of American basketball player Stephen Curry.[12][5]
