Babarud (Persian: بابارود)^[a] is a village in Torkaman Rural District of the Central District of Urmia County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 615 in 125 households.^[4] The following census in 2011 counted 647 people in 164 households.^[5] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 634 people in 181 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.^[2]
