Back Roads is an Australian factual television show that looks at Australian regional towns. This observational documentary series began on the ABC on 30 November 2015.
From 2015 until 2025, the show was hosted by Australian political journalist Heather Ewart. Ewart stepped down as host following the conclusion of Series 11 and was succeeded by Lisa Millar who has appeared as a guest presenter since 2019.[1][2]Back Roads also features a rotation of guest presenters.
The theme song is sung by Australian singer-songwriter, Rebecca Barnard.
