Badr Jassim Al-Yaqoub (Arabic: بدر جاسم اليعقوب; 7 April 1946 – 1 July 2025) was a Kuwaiti politician, who served as Minister for the Ministry of Information and Legal, and a professor of law at the Faculty of Law in Kuwait University.[1]

Early life and education

Al-Yaqoub pursued higher education in Egypt, earning a Diploma in Private Law from Cairo University in 1973, followed by a Diploma in Public Law in 1974. He completed his PhD in Civil Law from Cairo University in June 1977. His doctoral dissertation was titled "Liability for the Use of Dangerous Things in Kuwaiti Law: A Comparative Study."[2]

Career

Badr Jassim Muhammad Al-Yaqoub worked as a professor of law at the Faculty of Law in Kuwait University, editor-in-chief, and lawyer.[3][4]

Death

Al-Yaqoub died on 1 July 2025, at the age of 79.[5]
