Benjamin van Leer (born 9 April 1992) is a retired Dutch professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He formerly played for Jong PSV, Roda JC Kerkrade, Ajax and Sparta Rotterdam.

Career
In June 2017, Van Leer joined Ajax on a four-year contract from Roda JC Kerkrade. The transfer fee paid to Kerkrade was reported as €700,000.[1]
On 30 June 2020, van Leer signed a two-year contract with Sparta Rotterdam.[2] In June 2023, after a year without club, Van Leer's partner, Lieke Martens, confirmed in an interview that he had retired from football.[3]
Personal life
Born in Nieuwegein, Netherlands, Van Leer is of Moluccan descent.
On 13 June 2023, he married fellow professional footballer Lieke Martens in Málaga, Spain[4] after a five-year relationship.[5] On 19 August 2024, Martens publicly announced that the couple was expecting their first child.[6][7]
