Bishwa Prakash Sharma

Bishwa Prakash Sharma (Nepali: विश्वप्रकाश शर्मा) is a Nepali politician.^[3] He is one of the two general secretaries of the Nepali Congress.^[4][5] Sharma is currently serving as member of House of Representatives from Jhapa 1.^[6]

Political career

Sharma was elected general secretary along with Gagan Thapa in the 14th general convention of Nepali Congress.^[7][8] This was termed as rise of new generation in the oldest party of Nepal, the Nepali Congress.^[9][10]

Sharma has previously served as spokesperson of the party.^[11] He has also served as the national president of the Nepal Student Union (NSU).^[12]

In the 2022 Nepalese general election, he was elected as the member of the 2nd Federal Parliament of Nepal.^[13]
