Blastobasis lacticolella is a species of moth of the family Blastobasidae.[3] It is endemic to Madeira but has been introduced to western Europe[5][2] and is now reported from the Netherlands,[3] Great Britain,[4][5] Ireland,[2] and Sweden.[5] It is widespread in southern England.[4]

Description
The wingspan is 15–23 mm.[5] Adults are on wing from March to October[5] (from May to June and again in autumn in the UK[4]).
Larvae feed in a silken gallery, on a wide variety of unrelated food types, including leaf-litter, vegetation and stored products, such as:[4][6]
