History

In 2017, the Boston Bandits organization left the EHL for the United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL).[1] The main reason for this was that the USPHL was in the process of establishing a new Tier II level of play that was named the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). The Bandits founded a new Tier II franchise upon their entry into the league while the existing clubs joined the Premier (Tier III) and Elite (lower) Divisions.[2]
The organization was then sold to Scott Harlow in December 2019,[3] after which the Bandits NCDC franchise was sold to the Philadelphia Hockey Club prior to the 2020–21 season.[4]
Philadelphia then played two more seasons in the NCDC before being forcibly removed from the league in the spring of 2022.[5] PHC then joined the Eastern Hockey League, which had founded its own Tier II level in the interim, and remained a Tier II franchise.[6]
