History
The Breakaway Ice Center opened in the fall of 2004 as a single public rink in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. However, less than 4 years later, the arena was already seeing high enough demand to undergo a large renovation to add a second ice rink. The Venue was purchased by Boston North Hockey[2] in September 2020 and, shortly thereafter, became the home rink for the Boston Jr. Rangers. After the acquisition, the Breakaway Ice Center underwent further renovations to improve insulation, seating strength and conditioning facilities as well as the addition of two synthetic rinks and a new zamboni.
