Breaking Muse and Escort Mo, Show Mo (lit. 'your escort, your show') are beauty pageant segments aired as part of the noontime variety show It's Showtime. Breaking Muse premiered on June 30, 2025, followed by Escort Mo, Show Mo on July 1, 2025.[1][2][3][4][5]
These segments replaced Step... in the Name of Love, which was subsequently moved to the second segment of the show on weekdays (fast-paced version). It remains the first segment to air on Saturdays in its regular format and now alternates with the ninth season of Tawag ng Tanghalan, which airs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.[a]
Escort Mo, Show Mo was originally titled Escort of Appeals for its first nine episodes, with the new name taking effect on July 24, 2025 (episode 10 of the segment and episode 19 in total).

Development and overview
Initially titled Confidently Confident, the segment was first teased through the show's official social media accounts, with auditions being announced shortly thereafter.
Auditions
Auditions for the segment were officially announced on June 20, 2025, and commenced the following day.
Hosts and judges
Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Vhong Navarro, Jhong Hilario, Karylle, Kim Chiu, Ogie Alcasid, and Darren Espanto serve as the main hosts, dubbed "Muse/Escort Anchors," with Amy Perez as the primary Muse/Escort Courtside Reporter. They are joined by the Showtime Baby Dolls as additional courtside reporters, while Espanto, Jugs Jugueta, Teddy Corpuz, Ryan Bang, Cianne Dominguez, Jackie Gonzaga, and Shuvee Etrata take on the roles of "Muse/Escort Reporters," covering each participating barangay as side reporters. Klarisse de Guzman, Etrata, Barbie Forteza, and Maris Racal also served as guest hosts.

Format
Barangay Muse and Escort Mo, Show Mo features male and female participants aged 18 to 30 who are “G.G.S.S.” (gwapong-gwapo or gandang-ganda sa sarili), meaning they are confident in their appearance regardless of conventional beauty standards. The segment parodies the traditional role of muses and escorts in Filipino basketball leagues, where individuals are chosen to inspire and support their teams.[5]
Contestants are evaluated by a panel of three "Board Members" and are judged based on this criteria:
- Personality, Wit, and Confidence — 80%
- Madlang People (Audience) Impact — 20%
Both Breaking Muse and Escort Mo, Show Mo air alternately from Monday to Thursday, with the weekly finals held every Friday, instead of the usual Saturday schedule.

Each day, two muses and escorts from different barangays compete to determine the daily winner, who advances to the next round of the competition.
The daily rounds are divided into three parts:
- Barangay Introduction: Each barangay presents their locality and performs a cheer. The barangay with the better cheer wins ₱1,000 per participant, while the other receives ₱500 each as a consolation prize. Beginning in the second week, the barangay cheer was removed for unknown reasons. The winning barangay of the day receives ₱1,000 for each member present.
- Muse/Escort Introduction: The muses and escorts are formally presented and interviewed by the hosts. Each contestant then answers a question to showcase their wit.
- Talent Portion: Each muse or escort performs a talent to further impress the judges.
The contestant with the highest score advances to the Weekly Finals and receives a sash and a cash prize of ₱15,000.

Held every Friday, at least two daily winners from both Breaking Muse and Escort Mo, Show Mo compete for a spot in the Grand Finals.
The weekly finals are divided into two parts: the Talent Portion and the Debate Portion called Baranggaan (a portmanteau of barangay and bangaan meaning crash). In Baranggaan, each Breaking Muse and Escort Mo, Show Mo weekly finalist debates on a given issue with two possible sides. To select their stance, they must be the first to press the buzzer. Each contestant is given two opportunities and twenty seconds to defend their chosen side.
Winners for this round advances to the Grand Finals and will receive a sash, trophy, and a cash prize of ₱20,000.

- Verna Joy Tuliao is a singer and a stand-up comedian. She first appeared on the first season of Tawag ng Tanghalan under the screen name, Verna Joy Najera.[6] She currently works for Vice Comedy Club, a comedy bar owned by It's Showtime host Vice Ganda. She also goes by the name Verna Joy Periwinkle.[7]
- Joyang Glorioso, whose real name is Joyce Glorioso, is a content creator and actress. She is popularly known as the "Banana Queen" for frequently featuring bananas, particularly the lakatan, latundan, and saba variants in her social media videos. During her appearance on the segment on July 9, 2025, she used banana cue and turon as props.[8][9][10]
- Rico Albores auditioned for the first season of Idol Philippines.[11]
- Patani Daño, whose real name is Jervy Daño, is a Filipino actress who was among the 18 castaways in the first season of Survivor Philippines. She was the fourth to be voted out and was originally assigned to Tribe Naak, later transferring to Jarakay before the merge. She subsequently appeared in various GMA programs, including Dragon Lady, Tadhana, Impostora, with her most recent appearance in Makiling.[12][13]
