Brvenica (Macedonian: ⓘ) is a village in the municipality of Brvenica, North Macedonia. It is the seat of the Brvenica Municipality.

History
Brvenica is attested in the 1467/68 Ottoman tax registry (defter) for the Nahiyah of Kalkandelen. The village had a total of 100 Christian households, 3 bachelors and 3 widows.[1][2][3]
In statistics gathered by Vasil Kanchov in 1900, the village of Brvenica was inhabited by 105 Orthodox Bulgarians.[4]

As of the 2021 census, Brvenica had 3,102 residents with the following ethnic composition:[5]

According to the 2002 census, the village had a total of 2,981 inhabitants.[6]
