Cambarellus diminutus, the least dwarf crayfish, is a species of crayfish in the family Cambaridae. It is endemic to the United States. It is a freshwater animal native to Mississippi and Alabama,[2][4] and is listed as Data Deficient on the IUCN Red List.[1]

Cambarellus diminutus is in the subgenus Pandicambarus of the genus Cambarellus.[5] It is a sister group to the other species of Cambarellus inhabiting the U.S. Gulf Coast region.[6]

This animal is typically 1–2 cm in size.[7] It is a detrivore.[7] It is adaptable to slight changes in water condition and capable of year-round breeding.[7]
