"Candidatus Phytoplasma solani" is a phytopathogenic bacterial Phytoplasma species^[2] of the 16SrXII group, the causal agent of the black wood of grapevine. The black wood of grapevine disease is classified as part of the grapevine yellows.^{[citation needed]}
