Conservation status in the United States
It is listed as endangered in Connecticut,[2] Maine, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Rhode Island, and Virginia. It is listed as endangered and extirpated in Maryland, and as threatened in New Hampshire and Pennsylvania.[3]
