Cedrus libani var. brevifolia, the Cyprus cedar, is a variety of conifer in the genus Cedrus. It is native to the Troödos Mountains of central Cyprus.[2][1] It grows in the Cedar Valley in Pafos State Forest.[3]
The tree is now generally regarded as a variety of the species Cedrus brevifolia (cedar of Lebanon), but it has sometimes been treated either as a separate species under the name Cedrus brevifolia or as a subspecies, Cedrus libani subsp. brevifolia.[1]
