Centrum Biurowe Neptun (Neptune Office Centre) is a skyscraper and office building in Gdańsk, Poland, located at 103A Grunwald Avenue, within the district of Wrzeszcz Górny. Opened in 2014, it measures 84 metres (276 ft) and was the city's tallest building between 2014 and 2018, today being its second-tallest.

Characteristics

The building has 19 storeys, a floor area of 21,600 m2 (233,000 sq ft), and a height of 85 metres (279 ft).[1] The property meets the requirements of the international BREEAM environmental certificate.[2] Of its floor space, 15,000 m2 (160,000 sq ft) is used for offices, whereas the rest is mostly occupied by restaurants and other public businesses, largely located on the lower floors.[3]

History

The building was designed by the Hong Kong-based company Aedas and built by Budimex, based in Warsaw. It was an investment of the Globe Trade Centre, costing around 77 million . Its construction lasted from March 2012 to January 2014.[4][5][1] Its construction time was notably minimal, although its manner of construction was ordinary.[6]

The building was formally opened on 27 March 2014.[7] With the height of 85 metres (279 ft), it was the tallest building in Gdańsk, until 2018, when its lost the title to Olivia Star, a skyscraper in the Olivia Business Centre.[5][8]
