Chaetostoma pearsei[1] is a species of catfish in the family Loricariidae. It is native to South America, where it occurs in the basins of the Tuy River and Lake Valencia in Venezuela.[2]

Size
The species reaches 15 cm (5.9 inches) in total length.[3]
Etymology
The fish is named in honor of American zoologist Arthur Sperry Pearse (1877–1956), of the University of Wisconsin, who collected the holotype specimen.[4]
