The Changshu Institute of Technology (CIT) (simplified Chinese: 常熟理工学院; traditional Chinese: 常熟理工學院; pinyin: Chángshúlǐgōng Xuéyuan) is a provincial public university focused on technology and teacher education. It is located in the center of the Yangtze Delta, in Changshu, a satellite city of Suzhou, Jiangsu, China (Chinese: 沙家浜). (Chinese: 东湖校区) They opened in 2004.[1]
The school motto is "Breed integrity, seek truth—keep at it every day, and you'll go far along the way". (Motto: 立本求真、日新致远).[2]
In 2025, it officialy changed its name to the Suzhou University of Technology (simplified Chinese: 苏州工学院).

History
The Changshu Institute of Technology[3] was established in August 1958 and was originally known as Suzhou Normal Vocational College.[4][5]
