Career

Young came third in the Jamaican national championships over 400 metres in 2022. At the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon Young qualified from the heats for the semi finals in the 400 meters where she placed 16th in 51.41 and ran in the 4 x 400 metres relay in which the team won the silver medal.[2]

In February 2024, she competed in the 400 metres at the 2024 World Athletics Championships in Glasgow.[3][4] She was part of the 4x400m relay team which reached the final in Glasgow.[5]

In April 2024, she was selected as part of the Jamiacan team for the 2024 World Athletics Relays in Nassau, Bahamas.[6] She competed in the women's 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics.[7][8]
