Chelgerd

Chelgerd (Persian: چلگرد)^[a] is a city in the Central District of Kuhrang County, Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and district.^[4] It is also the administrative center for Shurab-e Tangazi Rural District.^[5]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 2,708 in 539 households.^[7] The following census in 2011 counted 3,061 people in 596 households.^[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 2,989 people in 753 households.^[2]
