Education

Chen earned a bachelor's degree in international trade from the Lan Yang Institute of Technology, then completed a Master of Public Affairs (M.P.A.) at Fo Guang University.[1][2]

Political career

Chen served a single term on the Yuanshan Township Council.[1][2] While a member of the Yilan County Council, Chen led the council's Democratic Progressive Party caucus.[3][4] He has also led Yilan County's Democratic Progressive Party chapter.[5] In July 2023, the DPP nominated Chen to run in the Legislative Yuan's Yilan County Constituency, and he faced Joy Huang of the Kuomintang and Taiwan People's Party candidate Chen Wan-hui in the 2024 legislative election.[6] As a legislator, he has raised questions about the policy implementation procedures of the Ministry of the Interior,[7] as well as the workload of the Taiwanese judiciary.[8]
