Chini (letter)

Chini (asomtavruli Ⴙ, nuskhuri ⴙ, mkhedruli ჩ, mtavruli Ჩ) is the 29th letter of the three Georgian scripts.^[1]

In the system of Georgian numerals it has a value of 1000.^[2]

Chini commonly represents the voiceless postalveolar affricate /tʃ/, like the pronunciation of ⟨ch⟩ in "chance".
