Claire Anna Constant (born 13 October 1999) is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for USL Super League club DC Power. Born in the United States, she is a Haiti international.[1]

Early life
Constant was born in the United States to a Haitian father and an American mother.[2]
Youth career
Constant got selected to United States women's national team training camps five times.[3]
College career
Constant played soccer for the women's team of the University of Virginia.[4]

DC Power
In July 2024, Constant was announced as a member of the inaugural roster for DC Power of the USL Super League, bringing her within thirty minutes of her childhood home.[6][7] She was named the club's first-ever captain and starred in 19 matches as DC Power finished second-to-last in the league standings.[7] At the end of the season, the club exercised Constant's contract option.[8]

International career
Constant was nicknamed "Cyborg" by her Haiti women's national football team teammates.[9] As she helped Haiti qualify for the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, the first time they qualified for the World Cup, she was regarded as a fan favorite due to her performances as a defender.[10]

Constant was known for her versatility as a youth player.[11]
Personal life
Constant is the daughter of Reverend Joseph Constant.[11] She is the eldest daughter in her family.[9]
