The inaugural Creator Clash event, billed as Influencer Breakdown, event featured Doctor Mike vs. iDubbbz, a cruiserweight exhibition crossover boxing match contested between Russian-American influencer Doctor Mike and American YouTuber IDubbbz. The event took place on May 14 at the Yuengling Center in Tampa, Florida.[3] Doctor Mike defeated iDubbbz via unanimous decision.

The event sold over 100,000 PPV buys.[4]

Background

The 2022 event featured many different creators from different genres of content, most who had never previously boxed before starting training for their respective fights.[5] iDubbbz stated that he wanted this event to feel different from previous YouTuber boxing matches and ensured that fighters were taking it seriously.[6] The proceeds of the original Creator Clash, which iDubbbz stated was "1.3 million dollars",[7] were donated to the American Heart Association,[5] the Alzheimer's Association,[7] and the Healing Horse Therapy Center.[7]

The event featured other popular creators such as AB "Starkilla" Ayad of the H3 Podcast, Harley Morenstein (of Epic Meal Time), Arin Hanson (of Game Grumps), TheOdd1sOut, Michael Reeves (of OfflineTV) and Ryan Magee and Matt Watson of SuperMega, and Dad, portrayed by Nathan Barnatt. This event also featured the first fight between female content creators as JustaMinx faced Yodeling Haley.[8][9] The event was organized by iDubbbz, Jomha, and co-creator Mike Leanardi[10] with the events company Real Good Touring.

The second event, Creator Clash 2, billed as Influencers Will Pay, featured Alex Wassabi vs. iDubbbz, a super middleweight professional crossover boxing match contested between American YouTuber Alex Wassabi and American YouTuber iDubbbz. The event took place on April 15, 2023 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, U.S. Wassabi defeated iDubbbz via majority decision.

The event sold 50,000 PPV buys and lost $250,000 (resulting in no money going to charity).[12] According to iDubbbz, he attributed the loss to lack of piracy-prevention measures, venue costs, hotels, additional fights, creators, commentators, and charity partners which cut into the budget.[13][14]

Background

The main event was iDubbbz vs. YouTuber Alex Wassabi in a professional bout,[15] with returning fighters including Harley Morenstein, Dad, Hundar, "Yodeling Haley" Sharpe, AB "Starkilla" Ayad, and Arin Hanson.[16] The event also featured former WWE wrestler John Hennigan on the card, YouTubers Jacksepticeye and Markiplier as pre-show hosts, and fight commentary by Wade Plemons, Tony Jeffries, and Charlie White.[17]

On March 26, 2023, it was announced that creator Froggy Fresh had been removed from the card, due him violating the event’s code of conduct.[14] Two following statements were produced by the official Twitter account of the event.[18] He was eventually replaced by William Haynes.

The third event, Creator Clash 3, billed as Influencers Will Pay, will feature an upcoming heavyweight exhibition crossover boxing match contested between American YouTuber L.A. Beast and an unannounced competitor. The event is scheduled to take place on June 28, 2025 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, U.S.

Background

On January 29, 2025, the official Twitter account for Creator Clash announced a third event to take place sometime in 2025. Further details will be released on 4 February.[19] On that day, it was announced that Creator Clash 3 would take place on June 28 at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida once again.[20]

Controversy

Following a video iDubbbz released on 16th April 2025 which was aimed at Jewish YouTuber Ethan Klein titled "Content Cop - H3".[21] iDubbbz publicly expressed his concerns with Kleinn's behavior.

On April 28, 2025, Harley Morenstein announced that he would no longer be fighting on the event. Morenstein (who is Jewish/Canadian) stated on a podcast that he withdrew support for the event after IDubbbz collaborated with Hasan Piker, a left-wing commentator and outspoken critic of the Gaza genocide. During a charity stream aimed at raising additional funds for Stand Up to Cancer, Piker made several controversial remarks about supporters of Israel, which contributed to Morenstein's discomfort with the event.[22] Morenstein also expressed concern over a photo shared on social media in which IDubbbz was seen posing with a sword featuring a swastika.[23] He was formerly headlining the fight with L.A. Beast.[24]

On April 30, Ab Ayad announced on the H3 Podcast that his wife, Lena Ayad, who was going to be fighting FunkyFrogBait, would be pulling out of the event. [25]

On May 3, 2025, following fighter drop-outs, and embroiled in online controversy, iDubbbz and Jomha stepped away from Creator Clash, relinquishing ownership of the event to business partners "Real Good Touring".[26]
