Curvy Kate is a lingerie brand specialising in D – K cup Bras and Swimwear. They are currently based in Uxbridge, London.[1] Experts in lingerie and fit, their lingerie is made specifically for fuller busts, designed and fit inhouse by an all-female design team. Designs span back band sizes of 28-44.[2] Curvy Kate officially launched in July 2009 at the Harrogate Lingerie Show.[3]
Curvy Kate focuses on a customer first ethos, using real women to fit test products and a diverse range of models across campaigns and social media content. This stance on diversity has been warmly received within the industry.[4][5][6]
Curvy Kate previously ran a ‘Star in a Bra’ competition to scout customer models to represent the brand in a section of campaigns, with winners including: Emma Tabor (2008) [7] Lauren Colfer (2009)[8] Laura Ann Smith (2010)[citation needed] Lizzie Haines (2011)[9] Sophie Morgan (2012)[10] Lotte Williams (2013) and Sophia Adams (2015).[citation needed]
In November 2015, Curvy Kate announced the launch of their new brand Scantilly in DD – HH cup sizes,[11] a darker and sexier iteration of the fuller bust Curvy Kate designs.
In recent years, they have launched a street interview-based initiative called ‘Uplift the Nation’, involving city wide take overs, street interviews and vox pop style games with members of the public.[12] This continues to drive their community-focused marketing initiatives.
