Continued Popularity of Classic Indian TV Shows
Although DD Retro was discontinued in March 2023, its programming continues to enjoy widespread popularity. Many viewers actively seek out retro Indian TV serials such as *Mahabharat*, *Byomkesh Bakshi*, and *Shaktimaan* through digital platforms. In response to this demand, several online services and apps have begun offering access to classic Indian content.
One such example is TeaTV, a third-party streaming application that aggregates a wide variety of entertainment content, including retro TV shows. While not affiliated with Doordarshan, platforms like TeaTV reflect the enduring appeal of India's vintage television programming and their role in serving audiences nostalgic for earlier television eras.
