Political career
Tahiri entered parliament at the 2009 Albanian parliamentary election, representing Vlora County for PDIU.[2]
On 10 December 2012 he and PDIU chairman Shpëtim Idrizi submitted a draft resolution calling on the Greek Government to pay €10 billion in reparations for the expulsion of Cham Albanians and associated property losses.[3]
In March 2012 Tahiri publicly criticised the appointment of two deputy ministers from PDIU ranks, calling the move a “political manoeuvre” made without his knowledge.[2]
