Datarails is a New York-based[2] multinational software development company. They are also incorporated in Delaware[3] and maintain an office in Tel Aviv, Israel.[4] It is a financial planning and analysis (FP&A) platform for Microsoft Excel users.[5][6][7]

History
Datarails was founded in 2015 by Didi Gurfinkel (CEO), Eyal Cohen (COO) and Oded Har-Tal (CTO).[8][9][10]
In June 2021, the company had raised US$55 million in Series A funding from investors Zeev Ventures, Vertex Ventures, Innovation Endeavors, and Vintage Investment Partners. It completed its Series B in March 2022 and raised another $50 million from Qumra Capital, La Maison Partners, and Claltech.[11][12][13][14]
In December 2022 the Datarails laid off 18% of its team.[15]

Product and services
The software is one of many FP&A solutions.[16] It automates data consolidation and financial reporting and provides workflows, templates, and data visualization that facilitate budgeting, forecasting, scenario modeling and financial analysis.
Datarails uses AI and machine learning to support real-time financial consolidation and data visualization,[17] It has integerated AI tools within its platform to enhance the speed of compiling financial analysis.[18] The company holds patents for its Excel-to-database transformation technology.[19]
In 2024, Datarails has also launched a Cash Management solution for CFOs.[20]

Controversy
In August of 2024 BBB National Programs’ National Advertising Division recommended that Datarails, Inc. clearly and conspicuously disclose its material connection to The Finance Weekly website where endorsement, rankings, and reviews appear.[21]
Awards
In October, 2022, Datarails won The Most Promising Startup Award in the category of B2B and Cybersecurity from tech news site The Information.[22]
In November 2024, Datarails was ranked at 92nd in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 growing company in North America.[23]
In 2023, Datarails was listed by Inc. as one of America’s Fastest-Growing Companies,[24] and a Power Partner.[25]

Datarails releases annual reports such as The CFO’s Office 2.0 which has been cited in news sites including Financial Times,[26] Fortune,[27] and Forbes.[28]
Datarails’ annual CFO Sentiments survey is also released annually and has been covered by media including CFO Dive.[29]
