Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering (commonly referred to as DSCE) is a private autonomous engineering college located in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

History
Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering was established in 1979[1] by philanthropist late Sri R. Dayananda Sagar. The college is managed by the Mahatma Gandhi Vidya Peetha Trust (MGVP) and is part of Dayananda Sagar Institutions, which runs multiple educational and healthcare establishments in Bengaluru.[2]
Academics
DSCE offers 15 undergraduate and 13 postgraduate engineering and technology programs, along with doctoral research opportunities across all departments. All academic programs are affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, and the college has been granted academic autonomy by VTU and the University Grants Commission (India) (UGC) since 2015.[3]
Campus
The campus is situated on approximately 30.8 acres in Shavige Malleshwara Hills, Kumaraswamy Layout, Bengaluru. Facilities include a central library with RFID and digital collections, modern laboratories, seminar halls, a gymnasium, sports courts, hostel accommodations for both boys and girls, and proximity to multi-speciality hospitals operated by Dayananda Sagar Institutions.[3]
Accreditation and Affiliations
DSCE holds an 'A' grade accreditation from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with a CGPA of 3.20, valid until June 2027.[3]
The college is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.[5]
Rankings
The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) ranked DSCE in the 201-300 band among engineering colleges in India in 2024.[6]
Campus Life
The college supports cultural, literary, and entrepreneurial activities through the Centre for Performing Arts (CPA), organising clubs and annual fests promoting dance, music, theatre, fashion, and management skills.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), supported by the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India, promotes innovation and startup culture among students.
