He is post graduate and has done Master of Arts.^[3] He was the nominee of Bharatiya Janata Party for Mayor for Nagpur Municipal Corporation.^[4][5] He got 107 votes from 151 members.^[6][7] He is the successor of Sandeep Joshi after his resignation.^{[8][9][10][11]}
