Dealu Mare wine region

The Dealu Mare wine region is located within the Muntenia area of Romania.^[1][2] It is located around the municipality of Valea Călugărească^[3] in Prahova County, best known for its red wines,^[4] and the municipality of Pietroasele^[5] in Buzău County, best known for white wines.^[6] Typically identified as one of the most important wine regions in Romania,^[7] it encompasses about 400 square kilometres under the Southern Carpathians.
