Demos Vol. 3 + Vol. 4 is a compilation album released by King Gizzard & the Lizard Wizard on July 15, 2022 , exclusively through Bandcamp and vinyl. It compiles demos and unreleased tracks ranging from the band's entire career. It was originally released as two separate albums (Vol. 3 Music To Eat Pond Scum To and Vol. 4 Music To Die To) but was eventually compiled into one.^[1][2]

Recordings

Vol. 3 contains demos from Butterfly 3000, Gumboot Soup, Infest the Rats' Nest, K.G., Omnium Gatherum and Willoughby's Beach.^[2] Vol. 4 contains demos from Flying Microtonal Banana, Murder of the Universe, Fishing For Fishies, Omnium Gatherum, and Nonagon Infinity.^[1] Both volumes also contain abandoned concepts that where never turned into full songs.^[2][3][4] The albums where released during a break between legs of the band's 2022 European tour, however, the final leg would ultimately be cancelled so Stu Mackenzie could return to Australia to treat his battle with Crohn's disease.^[5][6]
