Rathi made his Twenty20 career debut on 29 November 2024, in the 2024-25 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.[4]

IPL

Rathi was bought by Lucknow Super Giants for 30 lakh in the 2025 IPL Super Auction. He made his IPL debut for the Lucknow Super Giants in a match against Delhi Capitals.[5][6] Bowling his third delivery in the IPL, he got the wicket of Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel.[7][8][9]

IPL disciplinary

Rathi's 'writing in the notebook' celebration has earned him fines on multiple occasions of IPL 2025. As a first instance, on 1/4/25 he was fined 25% of match fee when he had sent Priyansh Arya back a writing in the notebook sign gesture and a bit of body contact in an eight-wicket defeat in Lucknow on April 1, earning one demerit point and Level 1 code of conduct breach. He then involved sent-off Naman Dhir with a similar celebration in the match between Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Mumbai Indians (MI) on 11/4/25 night in Lucknow and was fined 50% of his match fee and given two demerit points.[10] Despite this, Rathi continued the write-off celebration in the next match against Kolkata Knight Riders, when Sunil Narine was out in his second ball of first over. BCCI then reprimanded Rathi again for breaching Article 2.5 of the IPL Code of Conduct, which prohibits actions that could provoke or demean a dismissed batter. The third incident earned him another demerit point, bringing his tally to four—precisely the threshold for a one-match suspension. 4 demerit points within 36 months equate to one suspension point, resulting Rathi faces an immediate ban if he do it again.[11][12]

Rathi breached the IPL's Code of Conduct for the third time in the 2025 season, leaving him suspended for one game alongside a 50% fine of his match fee. Rathi also picked up the infraction in LSG's home game against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH), following his dismissal of Abhishek Sharma. The incident happened in the eighth over of the chase after Rathi dismissed Abhishek and gave the batter a send-off with a wave and an entry in his "notebook" which was followed by an exchange of words with the batter.[13]

Digvesh Rathi net worth is valued at INR 50 lakhs. However, it is likely to increase by huge numbers in the upcoming years, by looking at the way he has performed over the last few months. Digvesh Rathi's IPL Salary is INR 30 lakhs.[14]
