Divinity is an upcoming role-playing video game developed and published by Larian Studios. The title was unveiled during The Game Awards 2025 with a cinematic teaser trailer that showcased dark fantasy themes and hinted at a return to the studio's signature fantasy universe.^[1]

The announcement generated significant media attention, with commentators highlighting the game's potential significance following the global success of Baldur's Gate 3.^[2] According to reports, Divinity is intended to be a major new entry in the long-running Divinity franchise and has been described by journalists as more ambitious in scope and scale than Larian Studios' previous works.^[3] The game’s reveal was teased prior to the Game Awards with a statue in the Mojave Desert, causing rampant speculation. This statue was later named the ‘Hellstone’ by Larian after the game’s reveal.^[4]

No official release date or platforms for Divinity have been announced yet as of this time.^[5] In an interviews following the reveal, Vincke stated that the development team will build upon their previous work confirming that Divinity will be a turn-based role-playing game and will be created in a new game engine.
