Don Tapscott

Don Tapscott CM (born June 1, 1947) is a Canadian business executive, author, consultant and public speaker.[2]

Career
Tapscott has authored or co-authored sixteen books, including Wikinomics: How Mass Collaboration Changes Everything (2006).
Tapscott lives in Toronto. He is the former Chancellor of his alma mater Trent University, and is currently an adjunct professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD.[3]
Early life and education
Tapscott was born in Toronto[4] and went to high school in Ontario, graduating from Park Street Collegiate Institute.[5]
Tapscott holds a B.Sc. in psychology and statistics and an M.Ed. specializing in research methodology from the University of Alberta. As a student, he ran for mayor of Edmonton in the 1977 municipal election as a member of the Revolutionary Workers' League.[6][7]
Awards and recognition
Tapscott holds honorary degrees from the University of Alberta (2001), Trent University (2006), and McMaster University (2010).[8]
He was named a Member of the Order of Canada in 2015.[9]
