The Dr. Om Foundation is a non-profit organization based in Kathmandu, Nepal, which works in the fields of health, education, and social transformation.[1] It organizes health camps, training programs, and health campaigns, and supports underprivileged school children with scholarships. Background
It was founded by Om Murti Anil. It works with integrated approach to addressing the prevalent social issues. Its funding comes from the sales of the book Jiwanta Sambandha.[6] The foundation was launched in October 2023 by then Madhesh Province Chief Minister Saroj Yadav during its inaugural health camp in Mahottari.[7][8][9]
Activities
It has conducted seven health camps in rural areas of the country and has served more than 1,600 underprivileged patients with free medicine and essential diagnostic services so far.
In 2023, the foundation organized the Smokers are not selfish campaign, helping over 1,700 people quit smoking and raising public awareness about its harmful effects.[10][11][12]
In 2025, it provided scholarships to school children studying in grades 6 to 9 with academic excellence and financial limitations, studying in government schools across all 77 districts of Nepal.[13][14][15]
It also provides free telemedicine services from its headquarters in Basundhara, Kathmandu, to people in remote areas of Nepal and Nepalis living abroad.[16] It distributed warm clothes, food and other essentials to underprivileged and needy households. [17][18][19]

School Health Program
It conducts school health programs to empower students with information and knowledge to adopt healthy lifestyle practices and avoid unhealthy habits, including tobacco consumption. It had organized a nationwide quiz, art, and poem competition and distributed awards to the winners.[20]
