Guitarist/Singer born in Japan and raised in the Philippines. Started playing the piano at the age of 3 and picked up the guitar at the age of 14 under the influence of his bassist father.
Active in various bands like ROOTLESS, Made in Asia, and a flood of circle. Also, participated as a guitarist with Japanese artist such as Koshi Inaba (B'z), Suga Shikao, Kiyoharu, Fujii Kaze, Vaundy.
In 2018, debuted as a solo artist and started his solo career in earnest. Following the release of his 2nd album "Kaleido Garden" in 2021, he embarked on a successful tour, culminating at Shibuya Spotify O-East (capacity 1,300). In November 2023, released the 3rd album "Electric Man" featuring avant-garde sounds and groundbreaking tracks. In March 2024, released "30 Scratchy Backroad Blues" a blues album that rejuvenates traditional roots blues for the modern era, taking its charm to new heights. During the "The Venomous Rift in Humanity Tour" which featured two new albums, DURAN performed a total of 36 shows across Japan and abroad. The tour finale at LIQUIDROOM Ebisu captivated a large audience of fans.
DURAN has performed live shows in various countries including the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, France, Chicago. He has also been featured on the American Blues Scene website, covering the American blues scene. His music is featured on radio and web news outlets in various countries that cover the indie rock scene, demonstrating his active engagement not only in Japan but also overseas.
Regarded as a genius in the modern rock scene and one of Japan's great guitarists, he garners attention both domestically and internationally for his powerful fuzz sound, wild and emotional guitar playing centered around the blues, and sensual vocals.
