Dustfall is an upcoming Australian drama for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) releasing in 2026. Produced by Soapbox Pictures, Moonriver Productions and based on the novel The Unbelieved by Vikki Petraitis. Returning to her home in North Gap after years in the city Detective Tig uncovers a ring of drink spiking and assaults, the investigation turns on its head when a main suspect is found dead.

Plot
Detective Tig Pollard returns to her hometown after spending years in the city, uncovering a ring of drink spiking and assaults. When a main suspect turns up dead, Tig must investigate deeper into the ring and the stories of the lives of those effected.[1]

The cast was announced on 20 November 2025 the same day as the series was announced at the ABC Upfronts.[1]

Production
On 20 November 2025, the series was first announced at ABC's 2026 Upfronts event with the 2026 drama slate which also included the series Treasure & Dirt for the network.[2] On the same day the BBC announced that they had acquired the rights to air the show in the UK.[3][4]
The production secured funding through Screen Australia and Screen Queensland with production taking place on the Gold Coast.[5]
